Romania, in common with other Central and Eastern European countries, is in the process of restoring land and property to its former owners. This is a massive task which requires the best brains and the best technology to provide an effective solution.

Geo Strategies, in conjunction with Ordnance Survey of Great Britain, was chosen to design and implement the graphical interface for the property titles database for the Ministry of Agriculture.

The work, based on a client / server implementation of ArcInfo and ArcView, required the development of a GIS application with central data collection and archiving.  The system will be used around 42 counties.

In addition, Geo Strategies provided data capture expertise which will form the basis of a national (re-)mapping programme.
