Quite spectacular views can be created by draping false-colour satellite images over terrain models -especially where there is a mountainous backdrop.

The image above is a view of Brasov created from a high resolution DTM overlaid with a mosaicked Landsat TM image. The area in the foreground has been additionaly enhanced with 10 metre SPOT panchromatic imagery.

These procedures are ideal for visualising major works to assess their impact on the environment.
