All LBS data from Geo Strategies is held in a comprehensive database. This database has been designed for the most demanding applications and is based on the concept of GEOIDs.

These GEOIDs are unique identifiers for every feature which carry details of -

• The Country / County / Province
• The layer and object number
• The product release (version) number 

The use of GEOIDs confers considerable benefits for the user:

• It is possible to separate custom (own produced) data from the underlying LBS dataset.
• Data and attributes are no longer GIS dependent
• Data manipulation is now more powerful
• They provide for easier data maintenance: it is now possible to deliver and update only features which have changed.

The combination of GEOIDs and the content-rich datbases for C&E Europe provide a powerful dataset for all LBS, WAP and p-commerce applications.
