Geo Strategies has created special maps for the Central Office for Disaster Management (part of the Civil Defence Command), together with tailored GIS functionality written in C++.  These applications have been created for particularly critical (high risk) sites and include an atmospheric pollution model for Cernavoda (Romania's first nuclear plant), a dam rupture in Sibiu county - including water flow predictions based on the local topography and including the local population distribution - and a flooding scenario for Ploiesti.

Built into the application is a pre-determined list of actions and contacts to be made in the event of disaster.
