Geo Strategies offers the full spectrum of mapping and GIS services.  This includes ground survey, satellite and aerial image processing, map production and all those extra activities required to print large format maps.
Our survey division is equipped with the very latest dual frequency GPS satellite receivers for the ultimate in positional accuracy.
We have recently completed a large contract for the densification of a geodetic reference system.  In addition, we have carried out cadastral survey as part of the Romanian general cadastre which is in the process of being totally re-engineered.  This is required because the former land registry system was based on a geographical coordinate system which was in error by up to 2 kilometres in certain parts of the country.

 The new cadastral system will be to world's best standards as it requires a worst case accuracy of 5 cms.  Such accuracy requires the most stringent working practices and quality control procedures.
It will be an enormous task to complete the whole country as there are some 2700 communes to be surveyed requiring well over      1 500 000 survey points in all. Geo Strategies is well positioned to carry out this work as, in addition to our survey activities, we have Eastern Europe's largest digital map production organisation.  		 We are therefore able to generate high quality maps for all the communes as an extension to the surveying operation.
We also offer RTK (Real Time Kinematic) survey for LIDAR (Laser Radar), and for precise geo-referencing of satellite imagery.  In addition, we use high accuracy, and high resolution Total Stations for local and site survey.

Satellite image processing established

Satellite and aerial survey is a vital component of modern mapping. It is for this reason that Geo Strategies have established an image processing department equipped for the processing and interpretation of remote sensed images. Here we see an image of Braşov. There are actually two images: a multi -spectral image from Landsat TM, and a high precision panchromatic image from IRS. By superimposing the two images, we generate the best possible views commercially available from space.
