All the data sets listed may be used with a wide variety of computer software ranging from word
processors to report writers, desk-top publishing, geo-demographic systems, mapping systems and
geographic information systems; also for spatial modeling, telecommunication analysis and
hydrological run-off.
Map and boundary files are supplied in MapInfo, ArcInfo, AutoCAD, Laser-Scan, Intergraph, and a
variety of other formats.

Geographical referencing

All data sets have been transformed to the Universal Transverse Mercator projection (UTM) to
conform to full international standards. The data can, however, also be supplied in
"sheet millimetres" for overlay on the original paper maps where appropriate, also in
Lambert Equal Area for CORINE or the Gauss Kruger projection for registration with Eastern European
standards.
Data can be converted to a large variety of other formats on request. |
Additional layers &/or fields

All the data sets listed have been optimised by Geo Strategies and can be supplied with extra
layers and/or extra data to meet your special requirements.
For example, we can provide distribution networks for gas, electricity, telephone and water, or
customised layers showing ownership patterns of land and plans for building development. In
addition, we can extend the database to include ownership details, transport statistics or similar
information.

Licence

Data sets are licensed for the internal use of the customer on a single computer. Customers
wishing to install or copy data sets onto more than one computer should apply for a multi-user or
Site Licence. Customers wishing to provide a bureau service for others, or to use the data sets for
the benefit of, or on behalf of others, should apply for a Bureau Licence. |
Media

Data sets can be supplied on 3" inch floppy disk, floptical disk, Seegate removable disk or
CD-ROM.
Some of the data sets are very large, even in compressed form; hence it is advisable for these to
be supplied on the highest density media your computer can read.

Unless otherwise stated, all prices apply to use on a single PC, Macintosh or workstation.
