This map shows zones of seismicity for this most active earthquake area. It was produced by Professor Horea Sandi of the Romanian Building Research Institute (INCERC).   Further detail of the background to the map may be found under Vrancea Earthquakes.

The map is available in a variety of formats suitable for use in all the popular GIS systems.  It is also available as a raster dataset for draping over other GIS data.

When combined with other data, such as geological, slope, meteorological and soils maps, this seismic map can be used to calculate zones of seismic hazard.
