This map is available in a large number of individual layers (roads, rail, rivers, lakes, urban areas, small towns, communes, villages, settlements, and contours), plus polygons identifying classes of land use. 

We can also supply similar data for the neighbouring countries, as a rectangle around this dataset or, as individual country datasets. See Data availability, Central and Eastern Europe.

Individual layers are available as follows:

       L1  Administrative boundaries (national, county and communes)
       L2  Roads (European, national & county)
       L3  Roads (communal & natural)
       L4  Railways
       L5  Urban areas (supplied as outlines) 
       L6  Communes & villages
       L7  Major rivers & lakes
       L8  Minor rivers
       L9  Contours (10m, with supplementary contours at 5m)
       L10  Land use (forests, vineyards, orchards and arable) 

The data is structured as polygons and link node. All maps have been individually geo-referenced so that they are suitable for use with GPS navigation systems.

Databases

       D1  Towns population (1999 totals, gender and 5 years age structure)
       D2  Commune population (1999 totals, gender and 5 years age structure)
       D3  Road codes (down to communal roads)
       D4  Railways type

Further databases can be added, on customer demand.

This map is suitable for use with GIS and publishing. Both the graphic layers and the databases can be dynamically linked to many other applications. Strategic marketing, routing and AVL are ideal for its use.

These maps are currently in the process of being digitised. Approximately 50% of the country is now available and our map production and maintenance programme can be adjusted to take account of customer priorities.
