Geo Strategies has produced boundary polygons for the standard NUTS classifications for the EU Enlargement Countries of Central & Eastern Europe (CEE), and also for the Middle East.

The NUTS Boundaries for each country are in a standard format and are fully compatible with the boundaries for adjacent countries. The data can, therefore, be combined to produce a seamless set of NUTS boundaries for the region.

We should point out, however, that the varying population density across the region, in conjunction with the implementation of NUTS classifications which varies from one country to another, means that it is not always possible to compare data on a direct basis i.e. without careful interpretation.
